Creating a Tutorial About Weebly

This is a 13 minute tutorial on how to set up a classroom or team website using www.weebly.com . Weebly is a free resource that easy to set up and manage. This video was created using Screencast-O-Matic, a free, one click screen tool that does not require any downloads.

I spent a vast majority of the past week attempting to create a team website that would be easy to start up, as well as easy to maintain. After initiating websites through several other sources, I found Weebly to be the most intuitive option.

I did initially attempt to use Jing to create this tutorial, and found it to be a useful tool for capturing screen shots. I did not find it as easy to use to create this particular type of tutorial, however.  It would be a terrific tool if one were creating a power point or hand out that would benefit from inserting screen shots. As a matter of fact, I created an instructional power point using it in this fashion.

This week's task was very taxing, because there are so many useful tools available that it was difficult to determine which would be the most, overall, effective tool for educators.
